Steve Balmer, CEO of Microsoft favoring offshoring of software and other knowledge process specific services to countries like India, China and Mexico has stated that US surely stands to benefit out of the total exercise. On the expansion in India he further says that to propel the next wave of innovation Microsoft is increasingly going to bank on the country to scale up its operations.
Since its difficult to come and work in US, Balmer says the US government puts the pressure back on companies since they can not fly in talents from foreign countries.
He thinks the attitude towards outsourcing has changed overall in US.
The biggest sound bite from him was also heard at the fifth Madhav Rao Scindia Memorial lecture in India, he said, "outsourcing here to stay."
