Tata targets UK tech site

One of Indian leading business houses, Tata, may create 1000 jobs in U.K. Indian major wants to set up a high tech research and technology center in the Midlands. It has already submitted an application to the British Government in this regard. The R&D center will possibly work as a hotbed for Tata Motors (styling of engines and gearbox development), TCS (Tata Consulting Service—the IT division) and also for the recently acquired Tata Steel/Corus Group. Ratan Tata, the face of the company has been heavily impressed with the expertise level in the country.
