McKinsey: Eastern European countries to get 130,000 outsourcing jobs
Outsourcing in India presently facing these three issues, which are forcing UK and US players to look out for alternative options. The issues are (thanks to on your face minute and detailed media coverage), wage rise (15% a year), skills shortage and incidents around data security.

McKinsey in the winter issue of ‘McEastern_Europe_McKinsey_130000_JobsKinsey on IT’ has stated that although Eastern European (EE) countries have obtained merely one percent of total BPO spend (that’s $30bn) earlier, in the last couple of years the region has become kind of leading light in the outsourcing world as more and more Western European countries opted for EE.

McKinsey cites three reasons behind this:

1.    The region offers low wage levels, comparable to India
2.    Low risk location
3.    Geographical and cultural proximity to Western Europe
