Aberdeen Group, the leading consulting firm in its latest research has found out that more than saving mere money IT organizations will focus more heavily on strategic work may well look at outsourcing application development or maintenance (ADM) functions. Companies with Big Six (Accenture, Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), CSC, EDS, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM) associates will along with strategic work also concentrate more on process improvements.

There is a stark difference of objectives while shipping out the work; the study says, major Indian providers are chosen for non-core work (chiefly to save money) while the big six gets ADM orders more on non-financial grounds.
