Business Process Outsourcing News and Information

Business Process Outsourcing as been declared as the priority sector in South Africa. The government believes with successful implementation of outsourcing it can achieve six percent annual economic growth and deal with half the poverty and unemployment by 2014. (I am not sure if 'outsourcing' can cut down 50% of any country's poverty, you may look at it from any which statistical angle and the government seems to be over optimistic, completely unrealistic).

Deputy President of South Africa Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will visit UK to support the country's economic growth initiatives. In London she will participate in a BPO roundtable. UK (more than US) is considered as one of the leading sources of potential BPO direct investment into South Africa.
