McKinsey in the winter issue of ‘Mc
Kinsey on IT’ has stated that although Eastern European (EE) countries have obtained merely one percent of total BPO spend (that’s $30bn) earlier, in the last couple of years the region has become kind of leading light in the outsourcing world as more and more Western European countries opted for EE. McKinsey cites three reasons behind this:
1. The region offers low wage levels, comparable to India
2. Low risk location
3. Geographical and cultural proximity to Western Europe

It will be interesting that several years frOM now (what's your prediction - 20 or 30 maybe?) we will be reading articles about Indian companies outsourcing their work to the next developing economy!
