North Eastern part of India can clearly be defined as one of the backward parts of the country. Forget industrialization, the area has been under political instability, poor governance, violence and infiltration problem for years.
But now people of the region can hope for better
as India’s biggest software service exporter Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) plans to come into the zone. Many feel if TCS sets up a center here, other companies will also follow. North Eastern youths are flavor of the outsourcing industry because of their fluency in English language and comparatively less attrition rates. A recent study has shown that north eastern states also have more graduate and post graduate students compared to big states of India like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
