Pakistan is gearing up to position itself as a major exporter of pharmaceuticals. A plethora of US pharmaceutical companies are in big way plan to outsource elementary research and development projects to developing countries like Pakistan. Pakistan Prime Minister said the country’s healthcare facility has improved to a large extent and its structural reform over the years has made it a favorite choice of foreign investors. Lat year by breaking all records the country received $3.8 billion foreign direct investment.
Mr. Larson Senior International Investment Adviser to a US-based law firm said that US companies are eager on Pakistan. He also feels that there is a tremendous potential in country as far as life science research is concerned.
