After Accenture's decision to have more workers in India then anywhere else in the world, analysts have started giving their thoughts on the issue. Author Malcolm Gladwell calls it a tipping point. What is a tipping point? It's like a boom point, pinnacle. And according to the author just like an infectious virus it happens when it multiplies exponentially.
Accenture will add 8,000 more workers in India this year thus making the total headcount in the country a monster 35,000. America, which till now has 30,000 workers will be a distant second.
Accenture CEO William Green himself said about the development in Bangalore. This is significant because till now no CEO has ever made a public comment on the moving of jobs to India. The question is, will it open a floodgate?
