Accenture won a 10 year outsourcing deal from AIG Europe. The contract is worth approximately £50 million. Under the contract Accenture will set up a comprehensive IT platform and insurance support services to insurance provider's wing called AIG Entrepreneur. This is a specialized unit in P/C insurance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The agreement will commence from France and will roll over to other European countries. Accenture will deliver outsourcing services for life, annuity, pensions and P&C insurers globally through its global service center in Bucharest, Romania. Accenture's custom insurance solution software will do the underwriting, policy and claims services which will be ably supported by an IT platform by using outsourcing major's proprietary insurance solution software.
