Amtex Systems Inc, an IT consulting and services firm from New York having offshore development centres in Chennai and New Delhi, India has unveiled its plan to enter into outsourcing arena. Amtex wants to earn more revenue (this is no vice after all, everyone wants to earn, so candid of them) from per customer (now that’s the strategy) by delivering hybrid, integrated service offering. It has allocated a budget of $5 million for the outsourcing foray and has invested a portion of it to set up a 300-seat facility near Chennai.
One may wonder why Amtex took it so long to enter BPO after all it already has presence in diversified areas like front-end consulting, IT infrastructure, application development, testing, remote IT infrastructure management, system integration etc.
Now the circle seems like full and filled up.
