
The Filipinos have come and how. Chicago-based provider of pre-media and design services (or call it a one stop graphic shop) Affinity Express Inc. was bought over by a Philippines-based company LiveIt Solutions, the holding unit for Ayala Corp's investments in the BPO sector, for approximately $28 million. Earlier it was estimated to be $25 million. The Ayala Corp is a diversified conglomerate from the Philippines, with an estimated market capitalization of $11.5 billion.
Affinity employs more than 800 employees in functions like document creation and processing, typesetting, desktop publishing, image editing, vector artwork and ad production services to the publishing houses, newspapers, direct mailing and quick printing industries. Its client list includes like the names of ADVO, Los Angeles Times, Staples, Standard Register Company, OfficeMax and ASI.
