
In a bid to grab a greater share of the technology outsourcing work from US and Europe that mainly travels to low cost countries like India and Philippines the Chinese government has decided on ten cities in the country for development as major outsourcing centers. After identifying cities like Shanghai, Dalian, Xi'an, Shenzhen and Chengdu in the first batch China's Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology have signaled positive for half a dozen more Chinese cities under the second batch. The six cities are Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing, Wuhan, Jinan and Hangzhou. China government under a major aggressive plan wants to quadruple country's outsourcing export by 2010.
