
Pearl Research, business intelligence and consulting firm predicts that the gaming development market in China (which includes online, packaged PC and video games, or in one word, all kinds of gaming) will cross a whopping $1.3 billion by 2008. In its 120-page thick "Games Market in China" study the firm has founded that online casual games will has become a serious business and will constitute 30% of the overall games market by 2008. The study further pointed out that convincing and diverse game content, amazingly low cost of playing games at an average of $0.05 per hour (that's truly cheap, isn't it) and the lack of entertainment options in China rose the online games market to such height.
