After medical billing and insurance process US is increasingly sending data analysis, software development, medical analytics and clinical processing work to India. The sector size may be very small (analyst feel its $300 million worth) but the sector has witnessed CAGR (Compund Annual Growth Rate) of astonishing 150% in last couple of years. Now that's the sign of a developing segment, one developed industry can not register growth like this. The lions share comes from US while some work come from UK and Middle East. One prominent player in the area, Apollo has registered 200% growth both organically and inorganically — in the last one year. Wipro has a division on healthcare for many years now and it offers services in clinical and technology aspects.
