When everyone is outsourcing to India can Hollywood be far behind? (from the gold rush that is) The scope is enormous, feels Pritish Nandy, chairman of a production house in India. According to him broadly scope lies in areas like, post production, animation and local production support. While Brad Pitt and Angelina Joile shooting 'A Mighty Heart' in Pune, the neighborhood city Mumbai hosted International Fair on Film Locales (IFFL) which saw participants from different countries put up their stalls to allure Indian Film Industry to shoot in their country. Along with that different Indian state tourism boards, facility providers, film councils and other affiliated service providers put their stalls, so to attract foreign film makers in India.
Kerala, the most popular state in tourism is being propositioned as "more beauty per frame, more art per shot, more plots per story, more images per set, and more locales per schedule."
The animation also holds lot of promise, one can gauge the trend by popping up of animation companies. Amongst them prominent are UTV Toons (Mumbai), Moving Picture Company (near Delhi), Pentamedia Graphics (Chennai), Jadoo Works (Bangalore), Color Chips India (Hyderabad) and Toonz Animation India (Trivandrum).
