Rockwell Collins which creates innovative communication and aviation electronics solutions for both commercial and government applications has awarded a $175 million global service outsourcing contract to HP. HP will undertake industry standard solutions for IT infrastructure management which includes desk-side support, help desk and server management.  With this move Rockwell Collins will better focus on its e-Business resources for core services to sustain business growth and improving operational performance. It is believed that this deal will not only bring down total IT cost to minimal but also allow it to focus better on strategic business solutions for enhancing productivity, facilitating collaboration and enabling faster innovation for Rockwell Collins' products and services.
