"Megascope" deals will be the new yardstick of big outsourcing contract signings, declares consulting firm Gartner. Megascope are deals with more than $1 billion contract value, in the light of selective outsourcing model. The Gartner outsourcing summit will be held in March 19-21 in Dallas.

 

The consulting firm feels that organizations wont give away big outsourcing contracts to single provider in 2007. This will bring in a trend if specialized outsourcing where in clients split split the work up among several providers. One executive of the firm says that they expect large organizations will source the largest parts of their megascope engagements to large providers that have a similar global presence.
