This time instead of India or China offloading of bus driver's work going to non unionized and cheap Spanish speaking drivers. Dallas based Greyhound Lines Inc. wants to subcontract not few but a total of 3,000 drivers. The premise is simple, the line wants to transfer its work to lower paid drivers. It has allowed only Spanish speaking drivers to run busses on certain routes. It is also felt that by doing so it would avoid the presently prevailing seniority system rule. Greyhound, the bus company is not commenting on the issue. Its sister wing Dallas-based Sistema Internacional de Transporte de Autobuses Inc., also operates two bus lines driven by Spanish-speaking immigrants.
