Evalueserve, the global research solutions recently in a published report said that India will need more than 160,000 European language speakers for its burgeoning IT, BPO and KPO industries. Along with English learning of French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Russian also will spell big bucks for call center agents in India. There is a demand for foreign language professionals for language sensitive work potentially be offshored from Contienntal Europe, Far East and other parts of Europe.
The report says the language sensitive work segment is worth $14.4 billion in 2010. Sounds like pure over estimation the study further envisages that 50% of the demand will be shared by BPO and KPO sectors and IT industry will need another 50%. The only hitch is at present there is not more than 40,000 Indians available with proficient European language skills.

In Suriname there are about 200,000 Indians who speak Dutch and in Mauritius there are about 500,000 Indians who speak Fraench. Indian companies should contract the to work in Indian call centers. Native Spanish speakers can be brought from Latin America.
