After a minor rioting between two religious groups few weeks ago Bangalore has again experienced a labor strike yesterday over a court’s decision on water distribution on Cauvery river. The protest is consequence of long running battle between Tamil Nadu and Bangalore over the stake of the river water. Gauging a rife conflict most of the local business houses and educational institutes were remained closed. Police patrolled various streets of the city. In the nearby city, Mysore protestors blocked trains. Set vehicles on fire.

 

In October last year Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Wipro sent their staff back home due to a public sector strike which erupted because of border dispute.

The city, Bangalore which many calls the Silicon Valley of USA have not posted a true impressive picture to the business world and the recent unrest in the city only unveils clearly how the city is vulnerable to complex socioeconomic issues and turmoil.
