Amongst the big boys at the Outsourcing World 2006, Egypt also has put up its pavilion with 12 best Egyptian IT, call center and outsourcing companies. Broadly these dozen high profile Egyptian companies will try to get contracts from North American market. Egypt is not very novice in the outsourcing world, since 2000 approximately half a dozen call centers are operating in Egypt. Presently there are almost 3000 people working in call center, and if the present growth rate continues, it is believed that the number can reach up to 9000 by 2009. According to a A.T. Kearny survey Egypt is ranked twelfth as preferred outsourcing destination.
