
After lot of dillydallying, debate and counter debate it seems the talk between The Engineering, Printing & Manufacturing Union and Air New Zealand over the issue of outsourcing jobs to a Swiss organization has failed. Both the parties though at loggerheads with each other sat across the table many a times to resolve the issue which puts 1700 jobs at stake. Earlier The Employment Court hearing was adjourned by the Union as it pins all its hope on Monday meeting which proved futile. Two parties will meet Wednesday again at court to square off the stuff. The EPMU Union spokesperson said the airline is trying to steer workers to work for lower wages.
