
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), supposedly India's biggest software company has inked a deal with UK-based pharmaceutical major Glaxo-Smithkline to establish an IT and customer support centre in Mumbai to boost up GSK’s global drug development dream. The £10 million contract will help out Glaxo comprehensively analyses reams of patients along with complicated drug data that it will generate while conducting complicated clinical trials of its new drugs all through out the globe.
To perform the task, TCS will deploy a team of specifically skilled professionals which includes pharmacologists and experienced PhDs from life sciences, post-graduates and master degree holders in pharmacy people with a two to four years of life science background along with skilled in clinical-data management and programming.
