Britvic may add two new flavors permanently, Orange & Pomegranate to its range of products but that does not signify the for ever permanent happy job with 450 employees who are expected to be transferred from Britvic to KN Drinks Logistics and vending and chilling re-manufacturing operations to Apollo Vending Services in 2008. No prize in guessing, it’s the annual saving of 5-6 million pounds by 2009 that has brought in the tough luck for the 450 workers.
The soft drink maker also took hard decisions for the removal and short-term leaseback of its one major depot in Tamworth. Why this is important, it was only freehold site within the secondary retail distribution network for a lump sum of 9 million pound.
