Hmm…for small and medium sized business hosted IT services are not that bad…even its better…says this study, “The Small Business Transition to Hosted Technology: Costs vs. Benefits.” Conducted by BizTechReports.com for its client, Planet, one of the biggest private dedicated hosting companies in the world today (that’s what I presume, not sure, you do your own research) this study has surveyed close to 400 SMB executives from 17 countries. One of the findings are,
An overwhelming percentage of the outsourcing companies—85%-- say their IT organizations play a key role in staying competitive in their respective industries than those that do not outsource. In addition, the outsourcing companies suffer fewer security incidents and technical failures than their non-hosting counterparts, leaving them better positioned to avoid or mitigate downtime risks.
So, what do these findings suffice? The comprehensive hosted infrastructure can enable a small or not so big firm to take on big companies on IT platform. Its true that SMEs/SMBs are strategically aligning technology investment keeping in mind the larger and longer business objectives.
