Russian IT outsourcing is reaching for its first big time landmark. According to the chairman of the US semiconductor giant Intel, Steve Chase, the IT outsourcing market in Russia will reach a billion dollar mark in this year itself. In the recently held Russian Economic Forum in London he said that hundreds of companies are investing in Russia and reaching €740 million mark (1 billion dollar) for the country is just matter of time.

More than low end customer service or coding Russia has built its brand on high end software programming and has successfully marked its niche over US and Indian programmers. No wonder that along with Intel a delegation of companies are queuing up for Russia.
Chase felt that since the market is fast growing a lot of companies felt it would make sense to be present in the country.
