Irish government has given a secret and confidential package to Internet retailer Amazon. What lies in there no one knows (as of now that is, I’m sure Brit journalists are on their way to break it) but resultantly Amazon instead of setting its shop in Britain or France or no-tax-land like Eastern Europe has decided to go for Ireland. Amazon will employ 450 people in Cork. The center will give customer service to British and French version of the websites. Pretty fast that in its approach, about 150 of them has already been recruited in southwest Ireland.
If you think that Amazon is only eying British and French user base, you are wrong, how can you forget its plan to attract the iPod users as well, last heard it has courted all four major music levels to bring DRM free music by next month.
