To fulfill India dream Wal-Mart will deviate from its tried and tested universal formula and will adopt a unique approach. Otherwise, world over, Wal-Mart usually not only sets up and runs but also manages its own supply chain. However, surprisingly, in India, since the retail major is in a major hurry to obtain a slice of the market will take a altogether different approach.
Wal-Mart will ask third parties to source fruit and vegetables. The vendors will also undertake some back-end operations like warehousing, distribution and logistics. One of the vendors, Radhakrishna Foodland has bagged supply chain twenty yearlong contracts from Wal-Mart This one is actually pretty strong on the local market with clients like McDonalds, HLL and Cadburys.
India retail market is beaming with lot of new world players like Tesco, Carrefour. The local biggies like Metro, Reliance Retail and Pantaloon will also outsource a big chunk of their distribution and logistics assembly line from third parties.
this time i m working in SUBHIKSHA TRADING SERVICES LIMITED since last one year in telecom divison as a sales supervisor .but i like to join wal mart so as soon it comes in india i would love to join walmart.
