Forget general Tom-Dick-Harries, even superheroes are not safe from outsourcing. It’s a well known fact that Indian movie studios have lend a hand in the making of movies like Spiderman 1, 2 and 3. These Indian studios have already posed a stiff competition for Hollywood’s till now post and pre-production outsourcing favorites like Hong Kong, China, Philippines and Taiwan.
Move over this and get prepared to see the superhero himself, the Spiderman that is, to come to India in the form of a comic strip. Marvel Comics have launched Spider-Man India, which is the very first adaptation of the popular comic book series.
The Indian Spider Man will be roaming around in Mumbai (Bombay) and deal with local problems and challenges. He will wear a Dhoti, loincloth worn by men in India. See pic.
The Indian version of Spider-Man will be a joint venture between Marvel Comics and Gotham Entertainment Group, which holds the license in India.
