Art Council England in a move to save £800,000 a year in administrative costs is planning to outsource IT and back office function. Thus 160 of its back office staff have to move outside London and if they do not want to move out of the city, they may have to move out of the job. There is also fear that 20 IT functions jobs will be vanished from headquarter. Art Council is done with its internal review of outsourcing support service.
The spokesperson however, vehemently denies the allegation. There is no outsourcing on the card. The spokesperson felt that there is enough eligible human resource available in-house.
