IDC, the consulting and research firm yesterday while unveiling its report on Asia-Pacific's business process outsourcing (BPO) market has stated that the region is expected to be worth US$8.3 billion by the end of 2007. This figure, if you compare with last year which was only US$7 billion, is a remarkable improvement. In other way, we can say that the market will be growing at a compound annual rate of 16 per cent till 2011. By 2011, IDC estimates, it will reach US$14.8 billion.
The Business Times quoted Conrad Chang, IDC Asia-Pacific research manager
"We can essentially view the BPO market in the region as either matured or developing, and within that, English-speaking or non English speaking, each with its unique needs and characteristics."
