
The first phase goes to software companies; now the second rung, its turn for Indian outsourcing and BPO centers to set up establishment in China. Mumbai based Effort BPO has been galloped by Asia Star, a private Chinese telecom services company and Triple Three, the investment wing of Hong Kong-based export company Mulitex, to establish a domestic BPO operation center in one of China’s big cities, Shanghai.
Asia Star and Triple Three will help Effort BPO to set up a 1,000-seater call center. Not meant for international clients, the center will concentrate on domestic Chinese market. The new venture is yet to get a name but it has already got an investment of $ 1 million. Another $6 million will be coming in phases over next two years. Effort will retain 51% equity while Asia Star and Triple Three will divide 24% and 25% accordingly.
