I am still to lay my hands on “The Forrester Wave: Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q2 2007,” I have searched but could not find the trace of it, possibly the report is locked for now and available only against payment. Anyway, I am going ahead with my task to report the fact as it is (and often times adding some behind the news spice, sometimes acting bitchy irrespective of the fact that I will keep getting angry mails from concerned departments).
So, Forrester has recognized Wipro Technologies as "a pioneer in the India-based remote infrastructure service market".
I am not amused with the report; this was so much expected, isn’t it.
Forrester included 19 providers in the study - only the strongest global firms, with a track record of success in the infrastructure space, were able to be included in this study. Wipro scored well on the infrastructure service market presence metrics, and surpassed all the India-based provider firms in the category.
Wipro was a pioneer in the India-based remote infrastructure service market, and now it has Global Command Centers located in the USA, UK, and the Middle East in Dubai - as well as multiple sites within India, states the report by Forrester Research. It was also notably the only respondent that included a revenue goal that is tied to innovation.
