Outsourcing is mired with countless myths. Some of them that really shook the people’s mind are:
1. All the jobs are vanishing from America/Europe/UK/first world to the less developing countries.
2. No new jobs will be created
3. The rate of jobless will grow and only grow
The myth on outsourcing is so much embedded in people’s psyche that universities across United States have seen pupils less and less are taking admission in rising sectors like Information Technology.
These reports are however saying that contrary to the myth, in reality outsourcing has created more better paying jobs.
Sounds really unbelievable, isn’t it. Take a look
· Since 2001, U.S. businesses and entrepreneurs have created a net 9.9 million new jobs; the current jobless rate of 4.5 percent is below the average in any of the last four decades.
· From 1996 to the third quarter of 2006, the United States lost on average 7.83 million jobs each quarter, but it gained on average 8.17 million new jobs.
· Assuming that pace of job creation holds, some 302 million new jobs will be created between now and 2015.
