The volume of complex work may grow, the political issues may soar, but R&D organizations are increasingly sending more work to outsource. Outsourcing of a variety of variables of an organization's business functions has been on now for more than decades, though it only picked momentum in recent years. We get to see a lot of work in the information technology (IT) sector, however product development work and actual R&D for manufacturers are on works as well, as service providers and focused companies deliver lower cost, better and quicker response solutions to the sponsoring organizations' product needs.
The irony is that out of total outsourcing volume U.S. companies send 84% of work to other US outsourced companies only.
