In a recent report published from the house of McKinsey reveals that large US pharmaceutical companies to reduce the cost of new drug research and development (on average ranges between $600 million to $900 million) are going outsourcing. It is estimated that on one single product development they can save up to $200 million through outsourcing. It is felt that intense competition, continuing price pressure are driving companies to opt put for outsourcing.
We can presume that in future industry will be able to save a good amount of resource on salry and stuff like that by basing their employees in low cost countries.
Outsourcing of biotech it seems is going to be the trend in future.
