The size of the outsourcing industry in Botswana is not that big, you can call it rather a small sized one. But that does not mean the country does want to take on mature outsourcing markets like South Africa, Philippines and India. At Botswana International Financial Service Center the industry has declared its ambitious plan for the burgeoning BPO sector. The country is going to witness a BPO conference next week. Constance Matabiswana, the Chairman of Outsource Botswana has made his intentions clear on behalf of the country. He said, "We want to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and position ourselves as competitors in the global markets, so that we tackle markets like India and South Africa.”
Outsource Botswana is a BPO body from the country being set up in early 2004.
