IBM is storming ahead on Indian market. After catapulting quite a numbers of big bang clients on the telecom front , IBM sets its eye on Vodafone Plc. IBM of Armonk, New York is in talks with yet unlisted Hutchison Essar Ltd., in which British phone firm Vodafone has a controlling stake. After much hullabaloo and media debate, Vodafone acquired the controlling stake which only few years ago has not been considered as worthy enough. 
But now India has become one of world’s fastest growing mobile markets which has been generating more than 6 million users every month. No wonder telecoms companies are stepping up investment on technology like never before.
