Information and communications technology company IPGV Corp. has acquired Globalstride Holdings Ltd and its list of customers. IPGV informed Philippines Stock Exchange its subsidiary IP Contact Center Outsourcing Inc. (IPCCO) has inked a heads of agreement to acquire the fixed assets, material contracts and the existing customer accounts of Globalstride Corp. and Globalstride Holdings. Globalstride which has a 260-seat contact center in Libis broadly gives inbound and outbound customer support to mostly North American clients. Leading venture capitalist firm is one of its shareholders. Ayala Group also through Azalea Technology Investments Inc. has acquired some percentage of shares from it.
This is a clear indication that outsourcing market in Philippines is gearing up. The move from IPGV indicates that the group wants a robust call center expansion in Philippines. IPCCO already has a small call center in place which houses approximately 100 heads.
