
Philippines, the small country has been striding big in the outsourcing world. In 2000, there used to be merely a few service operators in the country. But since then the outsourcing industry in Philippines has developed by leaps and bounds. In 2006, according to an estimate there are 185,000 operative call center seats in the country. It is believed that by 2010 the number can reach up to
unprecedented 500,000. The expansion drive is also proving to be a golden run for the real estate players as 1.5 million more office space will be required.
No wonder, gauging the opportunity lot many non outsourcing players are also jumping into the fray.
