I have seen so many of my friends and their elder/younger brothers/sisters really struggle during the time of interviews, but believe you me, in all respect they were probably the one who suits the job profile to the T. I don’t why it happens, may be they are not confident enough inside and it shows while they speak up or through their body language and they got kicked out.
Believe me, when you are invited for an interview, the hiring manager actually wants to recruit you, he tries to find out reasons why he should hire you, they have some set eligibility points, which they want to match up with candidates, and the one who matches up the maximum number of points (and also able to satisfy him/her, in right sense, that is :-)) gets the job. Its as simple as that.Fumbleness only makes your case weaker than other candidates because you simply could not highlight your points comprehensively.
