Small businesses worldwide see outsourcing as THE savior. Normally, they don’t want to give extensive process specific training to new recruits, because, neither they have the set up nor they want to train new recruits with specialist software (like Lotus Notes, CMS etc) because then staff instantly become more sought after in the job market. IT outsourcing among other things also save a firm from tackling these issues. Understandably, like big firms they can not do things in scale. 
Small firms are generally the biggest users of outsourcing services, according to one expert.
Martyn Hart, chairman of the National Outsourcing Association, said that while small businesses are unlikely to look into offshore outsourcing, they are increasingly using local firms for IT maintenance and upgrades.
He noted that more businesses are using IT outsourcing processes as standard, rather than as 'extras' to a basic IT strategy.
