While freedom to speech is one of the fundamental rights that he was born with.... comtempt of any community or race is not only objectionable but... against law...

By making such comments on Nepali... he has not only proved that he is... a brainless, ill-informed guy... suffering from verbal diahhorea... it also shows to the entie world... about the culture of his up-bringing and ... most importantly a character of a man...

Hey, i agree with all of the above . what RJ Nitin said was totally uncalled for . i am not a huge fan but a fan of prashant's voice. i was more lean towards Emon.
But if i take Nitin' action into consideration i also should consider how prashant's fan reacted in Silguri.
According to media ten thousand of his fan came into road for a peaceful protest. they should have done that only. Then i would have supported them but instead they beat up the family member's of some bengali sick guy who was being rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Now do you think thats right. do you think Prashant who is a big star now will agree with this? i think not. what his fan's don't understand there action are degrading Prashat's Image only. and according to me that should not be the action of the fan of such a ,i wouldn't say a star because now a days it sound cheap but i would refer him as a GREAT TALENT.
AND for NITIN i would suggest the RED FM authority for one month at least send him in a JOB of SECURITY Guard or what we say in hindi "Chowkidaar". Then i think he would understand the hardship this people bear and the remuneration they get for there job well done.

I do condemn what nitin has said oversarcastically towards the nepali community....be must be apologistic.
no one has the right to comment bad on any community.

But as far as pure talent & singing is concerned prashant tamang is not at all an efficient singer (in fact he is as good as "besura" most of the times, he is a 100% stereotype singer, capable of singing only in local communities, shows etc )...he must hav been eliminated long long ago. i dont know how his producers/contracters gonna make business out of him.
other talented contestants like, AMIT, emon, deepali, puja, chang, charu, abishek etc had to pay price for the absurd votes in favour of prashant who do not understand music at all. its actually a shame for the whole music community.
The channels are only responsible for such defeat of indian music & bad remarks on communities....they should completely change the formats of such shows & should concentrate more on ways of earning money other than public sms voting, so that only pure talents may get highlighted. The shows shouldnt be commercialized at all...no public voting should be entertained, as 70% of them hav no ear 2wards music (sur, tal, rythem, pitch, tempo, depth + presentation, style, body language) & are hardcore regionalists.
History speaks when there was no such public sms voting...it was purely on standard high levels of judges, that we got great singers like, Sonu nigam, shreya ghoshal, kunal ganjawala & many more....

So i appeal to all sects & communities that we should not take music lightly & not commercialize such talent shows....and should develop a more good taste & ear for music.

Does Nitin even know that why most of our community people earlier were employed as security guards? From the time of the British period, our people have been considered to be very hard-working, brave and trustworthy.Does he know that it is because of some of our community people( people in the Indian Army/Airforce and Navy ) that today he sleeps in peace at home and can go to work without fear!!!Does he know that our community people work as journalists,doctors,engineers,Pilots in commercial airlines etc?

Your comments are just a red herring. Even a moron knows these shows are not *just* about what the "expert judges" opine. SMS voting is the rule of the game - you don't like it, don't track the show - simple. If Prashant won, he did so entirely by the rule, and this gives no bloody pathetic sicko to pass racist jokes on Prashant and his community. And don't worry, your wishes are not going to be granted any time soon. There's a lot of money to be made by the flood of the SMSes being charged three to six times normal rate and the show organizer gets a cut from the telecom companies. So just sit tight and enjoy or get lost along with Nitin.

Eveyone should look inside his soul befor saying someting to sombody. I think nitin made a great mistake by uttering such words for Prashant and not only East part of india but whole country will annoyed on such matter but i think before writing something about nitin everybody should think about are they always right about talking other communities? if yes, then they really in a position to say something moreover he is playing a role to communicate thing to u people. If you take good things of other then accept some mistake of other guys as well. And forgiveness is most important than punishment if he already accept his mistake.

to win the coveted title "Indian Idol 2007".

the names of many brave and talented Indians of Nepalese

composer of India's national anthem and the song 'Jana Gana

Mana', was the late Capt. Ram Singh Thakur, also of

Nepalese origin.

During the Indian Independence Movement, thousands of

Nepalese and Indians of Nepalese origin fought the

colonial British Raj and sacrified their lives for
the freedom of India. Nepalese Indian martyrs Major Durga

Malla (executed in Old Delhi Jail, near Delhi Gate-August

24, 1944) and Capt. Dalbahadur Thapa
(executed at Central jail, near Lal Killa, Delhi-May 3,

1945) were among the Indians who were executed by British

Raj.

77 years ago (1930) when Mahatma Gandhi launched his famous

Salt Satyagraha (Salt March), the most inspiring event in

the history of the freedom movement of India, there were

two Nepalese (Mahavir Giri and Kharag Bahadur Singh Giri)

among 78 other satyagrahha marchers.

2500 years ago, Gautam Buddha, who is known as 'Light of

Asia', was born in Lumbini, Nepal but his enlightenment was

attained in Bodh Gaya, India. Most of
his life-long preaching took place in Northern India and

thus enriched the ancient Indian philosophy by spreading

the message of love and peace.

It’s a pity Red FM can’t differentiate between ‘Humor & Wit’ and ‘Point Blank Insult’. Nobody cares about their clarification. The deed is done – they assigned Nitin – the retard to broadcast their so called “Humor” – now he’s probably hiding like a fugitive…..in paranoia. But they’ll have another jockey like Nitin to carry on their shows. If their shows are based on Humor, Satire & Wit or whatever they claim to present to their listeners – this is bound to repeat which could cause serious ‘Political Issues’…in the future - if they entertain one community at the expense of another. Its human nature to misinterpret & react to demeaning remarks hurled towards them. The wronged are angry & retaliating badly. If their broadcast could cause such upheaval that the BSF were called upon in Silguri – and an ambulance stopped at the hospital gate – it seems like we’ll need more security within the country than our China & Pak borders if broadcasters like Red FM remain on air.
Who knows – next time their Satirical Humor could affect the Sikhs or the Muslims or any other minority community

1st of all the radio jockey and comedians and all host of the entertainment shows must to know and remember that they have not any kind of right to say anything about any community.
and i would like to say that prashant and any other nepali, 1st of all they are indian afterwards they r nepali.

there is so many nepalese who is the pride for india and in this case when prashant won the indian idol.
we must to pride on not only prashant but the whole nepalese environment who live and die for india.
bcoz in india most of the nepalese are in the indian force.this is one of the patriotic caste of india.so we must to respect them and that radio jockey will be punished.

Friends, firstly I want to make clear that I am not going to talk about this particular bitter incident of insulting Gorka community by a mindless RJ. I am using this stage and tense environment to express my anguish towards the reason the people laugh, towards the irresponsible media especially movies and these "laughter challenges", and obviously these over-smart RJs.
Today we love to laugh at someone's pain. We laugh at insulting somebody. We enjoy by belittling others. We don't even spare somebody's physical unwillingness (common to see an uncle/aunty in movies who are partially deaf; or somebody who stammers). These populary of such TV, Radio programs and movies cleary suggest that these are slowly but firmly penetrating into our rich culture, which never teaches us to get fun in other's pain. I request everybody to give a deep thinking over this.

Attention: "Mr Nepali"

I understand that the comment of the RJ is to be condemned. However, we should understand something and that is, "Nepalis" are considered to be "Chaukidares" and "Momo walas" by most of the people. Nitin is not the only one who thinks alike. The only problem is that he aired it out.
Please be humane n don't bother him. The best one can do about it is try to change this attitude of people who think so. I m sure that any attack to the RJ wouldn't solve the issue. There are n number of jokes on "Sardars" as well but everybody knows it for a fact that they are rulers in any field the opt for. It is just the way you take it. Be a sport ya....this is not the way to prove the point.
It is very sad to see that people who are educated as well(eg. people who r posting mess)are behaving in such a barbaric manner.

Because 99% of delihities relate nepalese with gurkhas/chaukidars... and why only delhi... all over india the same sentiment prevails... why else do we have nepaly characters in Bollywood films always enacting a chaukidar's role... if you have to blame nitin then please also blame david dhavan for making paresh raval play the role of a gurkha in one of his comedy flicks.. and why not harress chunky pandey for his hillarious role as a gurkha/chaukidar leader in anothre bollywood flick... they all are equally to be blamed.. why target only one... The program that he hosts is called Hello Delhi... and you have to be blind to ignore the word DELHI in that.. his job is to keep dilli wallas happy.. and trust me almost nobody took offence to his statement.. and that is because there was nothing to take offence of.. it's the most common notion prevelant in delhi...and for that matter in most parts of India (except NE)...

So guys before you start boiling of and cursing me.. what I am trying to reiterate over here is that instead of targeting a single person (who I agree should have been sensible enough to have realised that his program is also being transmited to darjeeling)... something should be done about trying to convince the whole community as to what exactly nepalese are...

Give HIM A CHANCE TO APPOLOGIZE...I know aisi baato se Dil dukhta hai.. Acha aap sochiye kabhi apne kisi ke liye kuch nahi kahan... kabhi kisi Sardar, Muslim, Hindu and apne logo ke baare mein.. agar kehte ho.. to yeh koi samne wala apko maare.. please nitin ko maaf karo aur apna apna kaam karo.
