Saawariya Movie Review from New York Times

New York Times writes about Saawariya:

1.An Indian woman in a flowing beaded gown glides through a pond
2.A mosquito net brushes over her lover
3.And to insistent drumbeats of the Indian heartland, a dancing phalanx of tunic-clad women twirls.

Saawariya-Sonam-Kapoor-photo-image-picture

Its not exactly Saawariya movie review, its rather Saawariya's promo review. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's larger than life, magnum opus, Saawariya attracts special attention from New York Times because the movie is first ever Hollywood production in Bollywood (or Indian Film Industry as Amitahbh calls it).

Sony Pictures Entertainment it seems desperate to cut costs. It after a not a so impressive last year intends to sell no more than a 50 percent stake in the five-year-old Sony Pictures Animation, which had modest success with “Open Season” last year, reports New York Times.

Sony has also plans to expand Imageworks, it has hored 85 workers at its India's offshore outsourcing center.

UPDATE:

Saawariya movie review from Rediff: Oh, how Sanjay Bhansali hams!

Review from PlanetBollywood
