Do we really need a survey to know that more than half of the SMBs (Small and Medium Business) use PCs? PCs are so common these days, even mom-pom stores on the corner of the by lane of the greater areas of towns have installed more than one PCs for maintaining daily accounts. Obviously, small and medium enterprises (as defined by European Commissions, SMEs constitute less than 250 employees) will need improved IT services. They will also want wireless connectivity and other new technologies. May be, this segment is not properly addresses by the Telecom and IT companies.
ITBusinessEdge writes: Given this complexity, maybe it’s not surprising that only a little more than 25 percent of SMBs report being satisfied with their IT management capabilities. The SMBs with no IT management tools are the least satisfied with their capabilities.
The SMBs reporting the highest degree of satisfaction with IT management are the 35 percent that outsource it to a third party. The larger the SMB, the more likely it is to outsource, according to the Quocirca research.
