Gobal IT and software major Accenture and Indian super firm, Wipro Technologies have shown interest in acquiring Dell's active outsourcing and call center business outside US. It has been reported on the media that, Dell, world's second largest PC maker has put its call centers in India, Philippines, canada and El Salvador on block. Dell contact centers part of Dell International Services (DIS) has been wanting to exit their captive call center business in India for quite some time now.
When whisked by media both Accenture and Wipro spokesperson decided not to comment. Dell also did not make any comment on the development. ET reports that Accenture and Wipro officials have visited Dell facilities in India. Genpact and WNS also showed interest but it seems they are not as keen as Accenture and Wipro.
