
I thought of wiritng something in my blog after reading this:
Selecting an offshore services provider based primarily on the country in which it is located is a bit like choosing a car based on the fact that it has wheels and an engine.
Sorry, I can not agree with this statement. Only fools will put millions (or billion) at stake because a country is perceived to be good in 'this' or 'that' paarmeter. China is good in manufacturing, lets start a factory there , India is good in providing call center service, lets start a call center there. Sorry to say, business logic goes beyond such virtual fascination or else patriotic American companies would never ever sent their jobs overseas.
Its quite logical that after receiving answers to your RFPs (request for proposals), you with your battery of consultants do many analyses about whom to award the contract. No one gives contract to a vendor because he belongs to a country which has so called earned its name in such and such services.
No one does that, no one ever will.
