Saurav Ganguly became the first victim following Twnty20 win and so called youth exuberance. He has been dropped from team India in Hyderabad one day despite of being sure fit. Against world champion Australia, in the third match of Future Cup Twenty20 Saurav Ganguly's experience was sidelined by Twenty20 team member Rohit Sharma, who made 1 run in the match.
Sharad Pawer led Board has gone against him
Sauarv Ganguly has realized that the the BCCI run by Sharad Pawer is not his well wisher. Yesterday, on the net he bowled and batted for hours. Physio of the team John Gloster informed team management that Saurav is fit to play as he has fully covered from hamstring strain. Saurav was also in the 12 member team.

Great Niranjan Shah arrives
Despite of keeping Saurav in top 12 the day before the match, Rohit Sharma was included as the last minute just ahead of the match. Later, the old man with false teeth (literally) and broken English Niranjan Shah announced the team for the next two matches at Rajiv Gandhi stadium press box and informed media men, “Saurav is fit but being dropped today.”
Best performer in 2007 dropped
In 2007 ganguly scored maximum runs with 50+ average. Saurav scored 1024 runs and took 6 Wickets in 24 matches. Second is Sachin with 947 runs and 9 wickets. In the NatWest Trophy only Sachin (374 runs in 7 matches) and Yuvraj Singh (283 runs in 7 matches) are ahead of Saurav Ganguly (249 runs in 7 matches).
Media was stunned by Niranjan Shah remarks
Because the comment about Ganguly being dropped from the match came directly from Niranjan Shah, no journalist asked him anything about Ganguly because he was considered unfit. Niranjan Shah himself broke the news to the media. Media was first stunned by the remark. Firstly, even if they drop a senior (and most successful captain) player like Ganguly, it could have been handled in a different way. In a more subtle way, but you can not expect sophistication from a half educated person like Niranjan Shah.
Hindustan Times writes:
Come on Mr Shah, Check the facts before you decide to speak. Here
Performance in the match
Young gun Ganguly's replacement Rohit Sharma made 1, experienced Sachin made 73 of 41 and one day specialist Rahul Dravid made 0.
Ravi Shastri, one of the genuine Saurav haters
In his column Ravi Shastri, the media management guru, has asked for Sehwag. He has not even mentioned Ganguly's name in this coulmn. It is his strategy to excite Northern media so to camaflouge Saurav issue.
