In an attempt to diminish overall expenditure, LG Electronics (

Other than for domestic consumption, LG mostly has been producing a large chunk of its digital TVs overseas, where it can do away with much much lower costs. Off late, however, the management feels the small portion that has been manufactured at home can also be done away with.
LG Electronics has informed that it has concluded a outsourcing contract with a Taiwan TV firm. The outsourced firm will produce 500,000 LCD TVs per year which will broadly target U.S. market. LG sells its TVs by the name of brand Zenith in US which it acquired few years back.
